If you haven't, it is the story of how Japan modernised itself into a global power, even after all the social and geographical Isolation.
If I were to be Gandhiji, I would have leveraged my influence to make India a economy 5x of Japan. Which was very pragmatic.
I watch any Indian documentary and hear the glorious story of our national leaders struggled for Independence.
Then, I watch a International history documentary, and hear statements like “the British got bankrupt (due to WW II) and thus, hastily decided to leave India in lue of its economic turmoil”.
This makes me ask…Did we really gained our freedom through our merit?
