lines a and b are parallel.

It forms a transversal.

In transversal alternate interior angles are equal.

line a forms an angle 180° as it is a straight line.

30°+angle A+50°=180°

angle A=180°-80°

angle A=100°

as in a transversal alternate interior angles are equal.

In the triangle ABC when we see carefully angle B and C forms alternate interior angles they are equal to 30° and 50°.

Hope it helps you.
