The sophists were the first formal teachers of the art of speaking and writing in the Western world. Their influence on education in general, and medical education in particular, has been described by Seamus Mac Suibhne.

If I'd be Sophist, I'll share the ideas of secular atheists, relativists and cynical about religious beliefs and all traditions that "might makes right".I'd share that pragmatists trusting in whatever works to bring about the desired end at whatever the cost.
