GIVEN :

\sf \bullet Diameter of circular table top = 3.2 m

\sf \bullet Rate of polishing = ₹ 20/m²

\sf \bullet π = 3.14

TO FIND :

Cost of polishing circular table top

FORMULA USED :

\sf \bullet Area of circle = π(r²)

\sf \bullet Radius = Diameter ÷ 2

SOLUTION :

First of all we need to find out area of the circular table top. Then we will multiply the rate of polishing with area of circular table top to find cost of polishing

Area of circular table top = π×(3.2/2)² m²

Area of circular table top = 3.14 × (1.6)² m²

Area of circular table top = 3.14 × 2.56 m²

Area of circular table top = 8.0384

Now,

Cost of polishing circular table top = Rate of polishing × area of circular table top

Cost of polishing circular table top = ₹20/m² × 8.0384 m²

Cost of polishing circular table top = 160.768

ANSWER : ₹ 160.768
