If I would have been the postmaster I would have written a letter on god's behalf saying,"Everyone goes through some up and down in their life.This is your low time.You will have to learn how to cope up or else you will forever be dependent on me for favors.And remember,there's always a way."Maybe by this Lencho would have understood that he should not always have high hopes on god.
