If z square+1/z square=11, find the value of z cube -1/z cube using only the positive values of z-1/z

(z+ 1/z)² = z² + 1/z² + 2× a × 1/ z

(11)² = z² + 1/ z² + 2

z² + 1/ z² = 121 ‐ 2

z² + 1/ z² = 119

Also,

(z ‐ 1/ z)² = z² +1/z² ‐ 2 × z × 1/ z

(z‐1/z)² = 119 ‐ 2

z ‐ 1 / z = root 117

( z‐1/z )³ = z³ ‐ 1/ z³ - 3 ( z- 1/ z)

z³ - 1/z³ = 117 × root 117 + 3 × root 117

= (117 × 10.81 ) + ( 3× 10.81)

= 1265.54 + 32.43 = 1297.97 ( approximately)
