The value of Z₁+ Z₂ = 5 - i

Given:

Z₁ = 3+2i and  Z₂ = 2-3i

To find:

Find the value of Z₁+ Z₂

Solution:

Complex numbers:

  • The number which are expressed in the form of a+ib
  • where, a,b are real numbers and  ‘i’ is an imaginary number
  • The value of i = (√-1) and i² = (-1)

Addition of Complex numbers:

  • Let z = a+bi and z₁ = c+di are two complex numbers then sum of z and z₁ will be equals to (a+c) + (b+d)i

Given  Z₁ = 3+2i and  Z₂ = 2-3i

Z₁+ Z₂ = (2+3) + (2-3)i = 5 - i

Therefore, the value of Z₁+ Z₂ = 5 - i
