Given :-

  • The zeroes of quadratic polynomial are - 2 and 4.

To Find :-

  • What is quadratic polyniomial.

Answer :-

  • p(x) = k ❲x² - 2x - 8❳

Explaination :-

Given that, -2 and 4 are the zeroes quadratic polyniomial.

  • Where α = -2 and β = 4

➻ Sum of zeroes = α + β

➻ Sum of zeroes = -2 + 4

Sum of zeroes = 2

Now,

⋙ Product of zeroes = αβ

⋙ Product of zeroes = -2 × 4

Product of zeroes = -8

So, quadratic polyniomial is :

⋗ p(x) = k ❲x² - (Sum of zeroes)x + Product of zeroes❳

⋗ p(x) = k ❲x² - (2)x + (-8)❳

p(x) = k ❲x² - 2x - 8❳
