Hey!

Given expression :- x² - px - q

And it is given that the roots are reciprocal to each other.

So, Let one Zeros be a and other be 1/a

• Product of Zeros =
 \frac{constant \: term \: }{coefficient \: of \:  {x}^{2} }

a \times  \frac{1}{a}  =  \frac{q}{1}

1 = q

So, we get q = 1 !!

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Think - zeroes are alpha and beta naturally..

Solution - here let one zero is alpha and other zero is 1/alpha..

Now product of zeros - Alpha * reciprocal of alpha = c/a

Alpha *1/alphA = -q/a

By solving

1=-q

So q=-1

Hope you clear it
