given \: polynomial \: is \\  \\  {x}^{2}  + 4x + 2a \\  \\ wkt \: if \:  \alpha  \: and \:  \beta  \: are \: roots \: then \\  \\  \alpha  +  \beta  =  - 4 \\  \\  \alpha  \beta  = 2a \\  \\ given \:  \beta  = 2 \alpha  \\  \\  =  >  \alpha  =  -  \frac{4}{3}  \\  \\2  { \alpha }^{2}  = 2a \\  \\ a =  { \alpha }^{2}  \\  \\ a =  \frac{16}{9}

hope it helps
