To find : value of x .

Given : 5^{6} \times 5^{2x} = 5^{10}

Solution :

  • Product law: According to this law if bases of two terms are same then their powers are added keeping the base same. i.e. $a^{m}\times a^{n}=a^{m+n}$
  • According to above law we solve .
  • 5^{6} \times 5^{2x} = 5^{10}

       5^{6 +2x} = 5^{10}  \\

  • Here bases of both LHS and RHS are equal then  therefore , we equate powers of both LHS and RHS .
  • 6 + 2x = 10 \\
  • Now , using transposition method we find value of x .
  • 6 + 2x = 10 \\

      2x = 10 - 6 \\2x = 4 \\x = 2

hence , value of x is 2 .
