Ifa, ß are the zeroes of the quadratic polynomial x^ + 5x - 10, then find the values of
a² + B²

Answer:

A+B=-b/a=-5 (1)

AB=c/a=-10 (2)

Now as e know that (a+b)^2=a^2+b^2+2ab

Hence

(A+B)^2=A^2+B^2+2AB

now from 1 and 2

(-5)^2=A^2+B^2+2(-10)

25+20=A^2+B^2

45=A^2+B^2
