One of the toughest is to become a master of persuasion.
There’s infinite number of decisions and takes a human being can make.
If it’s simply too much of it, you can’t really decide upon that and someone’s not feeling competent to decide upon a method of decision process.
As an individual, I think the best way how to decide for yourself, it is to develop a philosophy of life that gives you the solid framework for decision. Each decision may not seem like a best option from an utilitarian point of view, but once you decide upon your core values, that still appeal to you - there’s not way you decided poorly.
But, I wanted to write about influencing the others.
Whether you want it or not, just by having clear values based system in place already you are influencing the others. This is done through communication and it does not have to be an influential type of communication. Just by speaking your values clearly you can inspire people to take actions themselves. Actually, the best influencers, salespeople are made this way. They inspire instead of manipulate and urge people to make the sale.
Skills…
I would start from how to grab someone’s attention. This is of the most valuable skills since we live in the world where information is just overwhelming. To grab someone’s attention just for one minute is becoming an art itself.
Second is what I call integrity or just “good person” - it is to be conscious, competent, not greedy, enthusiastic, just sharp you know. Whether we want it or not, it’s necessary to have appealing appearance.
