Ignition temperature :
◇ The lowest temperature at which a substance catches fire is called its ignition temperature.
◇ The ignition temperature is different for different substances.
◇ The ignition temperature of a substance decides quickness of catching fire.
● if ignition temperature is low, the substance catches fire quickly.
● if ignition temperature is high, then the substance takes time to catch fire.
● in both the cases, substance catches fire but it they are different in terms of speed.
hope this helps you.

First we should know what ignition temperature means.
Ignition temperature is the minimum temperature to which any fuel or any substance has to be heated so that it can catch fire and start burning.
A good fuel should have a proper ignition temperature. It should be neither be too low nor too high.
But why is that so?
If the ignition temperature of a fuel is very low then the fuel can catch fire very easily and so it will be difficult and unsafe to use that fuel.
And what happens if the ignition temperature is too high?
If the ignition temperature of the fuel is too high , then it will be time consuming and difficult to use the fuel.
So, we can understand from the above stated reasons that a fuel should have a proper ignition temperature; not too high ,not too low
