It is given that 10% discount is given on an article of ₹500

so

price of article of discount allowed is

500 - 500×10/100

500-50

₹450

thus the price of article after discount allowed is ₹450

Now

Gst is charged on the discounted price

so amount of gst = 450 × 18/100

= 8100/100

= ₹81

hence gst charged = ₹81
