Answer:

(x + a) (x + b) = x² + (a+b) x + ab

(4x -5) (4x - 1) = (4x)² + (-5 -1) 4x +  (-5 × -1)

                       = 16x² -24x +5

hence solved....

4x + 5 = 0

4x = 5

x = 5/4

&

4x + 1 = 0

4x = 1

x = -¼

Hence, the value of x are 5/4 & -¼
