To find :  cost of one pencil and that of one pen.​

Solution:

Let say  1 Pencil Cost   = A

& 1 Pen Cost   =  B

5 Pencil cost = 5A

7 Pen cost = 7B

5A +  7B = 50

7 Pencil  Cost  = 7A

5 Pens Cost  =  5B

7A  +  5B   = 46

Adding both

12A + 12B  = 96

=> A + B = 8

on subtracting

2B - 2A  =  4

=> B  - A  = 2

A + B = 8

B - A  = 2

Adding both 2B = 10

=> B = 5   & A = 3

Cost of one Pencil  =  3

Cost of one pen  = 5
