(ii) A car covers a distance of 270 kms with some speed. If the speed is
decreased by 10 km/hr, it will take 54 minutes more to cover the same
distance. Find the original speed of the car.(solve) ​

Let the speed of car is x.

Speed of carbon speed is decreased by 10 Km/hour = x-10.

= 270/x-10 - 270/x =54/60.

= 1/x-10 - 1/x = 54/60 X 270.

= x-x + 10/x(x-10) = 1/300

= 10 X 300 = x^2 - 10 x

= x^2 - 10 x -3000 = 0

= x^2 - 60 +50x-3000=0

= x (x-60) +50(x-60)=0

= (x-60) (x+50) = 0

THEREFORE,

(x-60)=0

So , x= 60 km/h
