side of the square =40 cm

area of the square = (40×40) cm²

= 1600 cm²

area of the square = area of the rectangle = 1600cm²

breadth of the rectangle = 20 cm

breadth of the rectangle = 1600/20

= 80 cm

hope it helps uu mate

Given -

  • Area of rectangle is equal to the area of square.
  • Side of square = 40cm
  • Breadth of rectangle = 20cm

To find -

  • Length of the rectangle.

Solution -

We have length of each side of the square, let us find the area of square.

Area (square) = (side)²

➛ Area of square = (40)²

➛ Area of square = 1600cm²

Now, we have breadth of the rectangle i.e., 20cm and need to find the length.

It is also given that area of rectangle is equal to the area of square.

•°• Area of rectangle = 1600cm²

Finding length of rectangle

Area (rectangle) = l × b

➛ Area of rectangle = 1600

➛ l × b = 1600

➛ l × 20 = 1600

➛ l = 1600/20

l = 80 cm

Hence,

  • Length of the rectangle is 80cm.
