Answer ⇒ Ammonium Hydroxide solution will produce an Reddish Brown Precipitate when added to the solution of the Ferric Chloride or any salt of ferric, then Ferric Hydroxide will formed which will be the insoluble salt forming Reddish Brown precipitate and will not dissolves in excess of the ammonium Hydroxide.
Reaction for the above process will be,
FeCl₃ + 3NH₄(OH) ------------⇒ Fe(OH)₃ + 3NH₄Cl.
Fe(OH)₃ is the green Precipitate which is insoluble in excess of the ammonium hydroxide.
