Solution :-

Specific Heat of a substance can be defined as the heat needed to raise a body's temperature by unity.

  • (a) Copper ⇒ 0.1 cal/gm K

  • (b) Ice ⇒ 0.5 cal/gm K

  • (c) Water ⇒ 1 cal/gm K

  • (d) Mercury ⇒ 0.033 cal/gm K

∴ Water is having the maximum specific heat i.e. 1 cal/gm K

Final answer :-

(B) Water
