As you can see in the attached picture of Rajasthan, the weather conditions there are really extreme(hot) and at night(which is shown in the second attached picture) the weather is kind of chilly so they wear the clothes accordingly. So they wear clothes which are like loose cotton in the daytime and in the evening they wear rather warm clothes.

Third and fourth, attached pictures are of Himachal Pradesh which is a Northern area, the weather there is rather cold so people wear warm clothes.

Places like Mumbai(fifth picture) and Delhi(sixth picture) the weather there is moderate not very hot and not very cold so people prefer to wear cotton or synthetic clothes there. There is a very short of span of winters in places like Mumbai or Delhi so the warm clothing is used for 2-3 weeks.

In terms of housing the places which are cold the houses, there are made up of bricks or are made up of wood because it is the good conductor of cold so that houses stay warm.
