What was Raman’s philosophy of life?

Whether it was Ramana Maharshi or Ramakrishna Paramahamsa or any other saint or guru or enlightened soul, their tips to society are same and succinctly they can be listed as follows.

This world what we see is a Maya (illusion). Don't depend on it too much thinking that it is real. There is a humongous force called Brahman, which is controlling and taking care of all that happens on this planet.

Don't be egotistic. Egoism will destroy one’s soul.

Never covet others things.

Earmark some time daily for God worship, meditation etc., as a thanksgiving.

Be kind to disadvantaged sections of society.

Work hard and earn legally. Cultivate the habit of parting with a small portion of your money for the welfare and upliftment of needy people.

Study Dharmic literature which may help you to maintain mental equilibrium at all times and under all circumstances.

Enter into a legal wedlock, beget intelligent and healthy children and live for 100 years peacefully.

Eat satwik food so that your thoughts will also be satwik and the whole world will in due course of time start exuding satwik vibrations.

Don’t harm others in words or deeds as they would recoil.
