Firstly let assume that t = an
we know that we have the formula
an= a+(n-1)d
now here,
an=96
a(first term ) =12
d(common difference) =4
Now substitue the values in the above equation,
i.e.., an=a+(n-1)d
96=12+(n-1)4
96=12+(4n-4)
96-12=4n-4
84= 4n-4
84 - 4 =4n
80= 4n
4n=80
n=80/4
therefore n=20
