2) Yes the Indian rulers were dominated by the Europeans as they had more powers than us and they used to do big trade and were known as big traders. actually Indians were the most powerful of all.

3) The East India Company removed Mir Jaffer and Mir Qasim from the throne of Bengal because they had an independent spirit and thus refused to dance on the tunes of East India Company. So he was made the Nawab of Bengal.

4) Lord Dalhousie framed and implemented the Doctrine of lapse to deal with the succession problem of Hindu states. According to the policy, the ruler who had accepted or was in an alliance with the Britishers would lose his territory if he dies without having an heir.

5) The First Anglo-Sikh War was fought between the Sikh Empire and the British East India Company in 1845 and 1846 in and around the Ferozepur district of Punjab. It resulted in defeat and partial subjugation of the Sikh kingdom and cession of Jammu and Kashmir as a separate princely state under British suzerainty.
