\bold\red{\underline{\underline{Answer:}}}

\bold{The \ value \ of \ (x+y) \ is \ 11.}

\bold\orange{Given:}

x-y=5

xy=24

\bold\pink{To \ find:}

(x+y)

\bold\green{\underline{\underline{Solution}}}

x-y=5

Squaring both the sides

\bold{(x-y)^{2}=25...(1)}

xy=24....(2)

By identity

\bold{(x+y)^{2}=(x-y)^{2}+4(xy)}

\bold{(x+y)^{2}=25+4(24)}

\bold{(x+y)^{2}=25+96}

\bold{(x+y)^{2}=121}

On taking square root of both the sides

\bold{(x+y)=11}

Therefore,

\bold\purple{The \ value \ of \ (x+y) \ is \ 11.}
