x-y=5

xy=24

$\bold\pink{To \ find:}$

(x+y)

x-y=5

Squaring both the sides

$\bold{(x-y)^{2}=25...(1)}$

By identity

$\bold{(x+y)^{2}=(x-y)^{2}+4(xy)}$

$\bold{(x+y)^{2}=25+4(24)}$

$\bold{(x+y)^{2}=25+96}$

$\bold{(x+y)^{2}=121}$

On taking square root of both the sides

$\bold{(x+y)=11}$

Therefore,

$\bold\purple{The \ value \ of \ (x+y) \ is \ 11.}$
