Let n(maths) = 60

     n(english) = 50

     n(mUe) =  40

      n(mΩe) = ?

n(m) + n(e) - n(mΩe) = n(mUe)

=> 60+50-x = 40

=> 110-x = 40

=> x = 110-40

=> x = 70

Therefore, the no. of students passed in either english or in maths is 70
