= (1/2)L

molarity of solution = no.of mol/volume of solution in litres

= 1/(1/2)M

= 2M

wt.of solution =( 500ml)×(1g/ml)

= 500g

wt.of solvent = (500-40)g

= 460g

molality = no.ofmol. /wt.of solvent in Kg

=( 1/460)×1000 = 100/46= 50/23 = 2.1m
