Margie and Tommy were neighbours and lived in the future (2157) . They were 11 and 13 respectively. Margie hated school. They had a mechanical teacher which taught them subjects like arithmetic, history , geography and other subjects. She also hated the homework section where she had to submit her homework daily in a punch code.

She was given test after test by the mechanical teacher as she was doing bad in geography.

Margie's mother was not happy with her performance and hence called the county inspector to check if something was wrong with the mechanical teacher.

Margie expected that the County Inspector would not be able to fix it up but he had fixed it.

One day Tommy found a real book in the attic. In it there was much info about A REAL school.

Margie thought that the students from the older schools would have been fun.
