Let present age of daughter be x.

So present age of mother be 4x.

According to question

After 5 years daughter age = x +5

After 5 years mother's age = 3( x +5 )

(x+5) = = 3(x+5)

x+5=3x+15

x-3x=15-5

-2x=10

-x=10/2

-x=5

x=-5=5, 4 x =5*4=20

Daughter's present age is 5 years and mother's age is 20 years .
