infront of the mirror.

Images in a plane mirror are formed as far behind the mirror as the object in front of it. 

Thus, the distance of the image of an object from the mirror is equal to the distance of the object from the mirror

The second law of reflection has the representation of angle of incidence=that of reflection and the 1st law signifying object, image and the normal to the reflecting surface to be lying on the same plane,could form two equivalent ∆s,one being created on incidence side and the other too on reflection side,by the AAS theorm of ∆s.Hence the proposition is proved
