National parks are reserved areas, to protect ANIMALS AND PLANTS and are managed by the government. Zoo is the place where the animals are present in a restricted cage, and they are available for the public to observe.

( SIMPLY FOR YOU TO KNOW : In national park animals are free and protected but in zoo they are kept in cage/restricted and is available for public to view...)

That is why Rohan had a different experience.
