Answer:

x+y=7

Multiply whole equation into 2.

2x+2y=14

2x-3y=9

2x+2y-2x+3y=5

5y=5

y=1

x+1=7

x=6

x=6,y=1

Given linear equations are

x+y=7---(1)

2x -3y=9---(2)

Multiply equation (1) by 2

2x+2y= 14---(3)

Subtarct equation (2) from (3)

2x+2y = 14--(3)

2x-3y=9-- (2)

_________

5y=5

y= 1

Put in equation (1)

x+1= 7

x= 6 hence the value of x and y is x=6 and y=1.

Thanks.
