Required Answer:-

Concave lens is the lens bulging inwards with the ends thicker than the central region. It is formed by two concave mirror. Let's see the rules important for the image formation in concave lens.

  • When a ray of light is parallel to principal axis of the concave lens, it appears to be coming from the focus on the other side.

  • A ray of light passing through the optical centre of a concave lens goes straight out.

  • When a ray of light going towards the focus of concave lens becomes parallel to the principal axis.
