Given : he enlarges the garden

To Find : the maximum  number of flowers tham can be planted in the gardens  such that the number of flowers on any side is equal

to the length of the side

Solution:

Let say length of one side   of   Garden = a

Number of flowers on any side = a

Number of flowers on 4 sides = 4a

Hence total numbers of flowers must be divisible by 4

40 = 4 * 10

35 = 4 * 8 + 3

38 = 4 * 9  + 2

41 = 4 * 10  + 1

only 40 is divisible by 4

hence maximum  number of flowers that can be planted in the gardens = 40
