Answer:

Given = length = 24m

diagonal = 30 m

to find breadth

Let the rectangle be ABCD

Length = AB = 24m

Breadth= BC

and Diagonal= BD = 30 m

let's find Breadth BC

By phythagoras Theorem

AC² = BC² + AB²

(30)²=BC² + (24)²

900 = BC² + 576

BC²= 900- 576

BC²= 324

BC = √324 = 18

BC = 18

So, breadth = 18

  • To find Area

area of rectangle = 2(l+b)

= 2( 24+ 18)

=2× 42

= 84m²

Area of rectangle is 84m²

Answer:

It is given that,

Length of a rectangular field = 30 m.

Diagonal of a rectangular field = 34 m.

Consider the breadth of rectangular field = b m.

Using the Pythagoras theorem,

AC

2

=AB

2

+BC

2

Substituting the values,

34

2

=30

2

+b

2

By further calculation,

1156=900+b

2

So we get

b

2

=1156–900=256

b=

256

=16 m

We know that,

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

Substituting the values,

=2(30+16)

=2∗46

=92 m.
