The term perianth is used when?

-- (b) Callyx and corolla are not differentiated (বৃতি আৰু দলমণ্ডল পৃথক নহয়).

  • The typical flower is consists of four whorls which are arranged on the swollen end of pedicle called as thallamus or receptacle.
  • androceium and gynoceium are reproductive organs/whorls of flower.
  • while callyx and corolla are the accessory whorls.
  • Callyx being situated at the outermost and gynoceium as innermost being at the centre.
  • when the members of callyx and corolla get fused and can't get differentiated as different whorls, that's will be recognized as a single specific whorl.
  • Which are known as perianth. Members of perianth are known as tepals.
  • Tepals are seen majorly in the liliaceae family members which include, onion, lily, tulip.
