Answer:

Given that, the length, width and height of the cuboid are 15 cm, 12 cm and 8 cm, respectively.

We know that, Volume of a cuboid=lbh cubic units

Here, l=15 cm, b=12 cm and h=8 cm

∴ volume=15×12×8=1440 cm

Hence, the volume of a cuboid with given dimensions is 1440 cm

(b) Given that, the length, width and height of the cuboid are 4 m, 2.6 m and 80 cm, respectively.

We know that, Volume of a cuboid=lbh cubic units

Here, l=4 m, b=2.6 m and h=80 cm

We can see that the units are not same.

We know that 100 cm=1 m

∴ 80 cm=

100

80

m=0.8 m

Hence, h=0.8 m

So, volume=4×2.6×0.8=8.32 m

Hence, the volume of a cuboid with the given dimensions is 8.32 m
