Given : 8² - 7²  = 15

To find :  draw a square of area 15 sq cm

Step 1  : Draw  a line segment  AB = 7 cm

Step 2 : Draw Right angle at B and draw a ray

Step 3 : using compass with = 8 cm and taking A as center draw an arc such that it intersect  right angle drawn in step 2 at C

BC²  =  AC² - AB² = 8² - 7² = 15

Step  4: take compass width = BC

Step 5 : taking B as center cut BA at E.

Step 6 : Keeping compass with same taking  E & C as center draw arcs such that they intersect at D

Step 7 : join CD & DE

BCDE is a square of area 15 cm
