To Find :- Vertex C is common to which two triangles ?
Answer :-
we know that,
- Vertex = is a corner or a point where lines meet.
- Formula to find number of vertices of a polygon is = 2 + No. of Edges - No. of Faces .
- Example :- cube has 12 edges and 6 faces, So, Number of vertices are = 2 + E - F = 2 + 12 - 6 = 14 - 6 = 8 .
- A triangle has three vertices.
Now, from image we have :-
- ∆ACB is a traingle . D is a point on side CB.
So, Vertex C is common to :-
- ∆ACB. => Lines AC and BC meets at vertex C.
- ∆ACD. => Lines AC and DC meets at vertex C.
Hence, Vertex C is common to ∆ACB and ∆ACD.
