3

x co-ordinate = -2

y co-ordinate = 3

( -2,3) is the point of intersection.

Step-by-step explanation:

x + 3y = 7 _________(1)

2x + y = -1 __________(2)

(1)*2 gives 2x+6y =14 ________(3)

(3) - (1) gives , 5y = 15

y = 15/5

= 3

put y = 3 in (1) , we get , x+9=7

x = 7-9

= -2

Hence,

x co-ordinate = -2

y co-ordinate = 3

The point of intersection of the lines x + 3y = 7, 2x + y = -1 is ( -2,3)
