Half of the Earth surface’s imaginary great circle is called the Geographic meridian, which is the longitude line.

Explanation:

  • This is terminated by the South Pole, North Pole and the equal longitude’s connecting points.
  • This is measured as east or west in angular degrees of the Prime Meridian.
  • With both the longitude and latitude, the magnetic declination varies. This is due to the reason that the magnetic poles are not equivalent with true South and North.
  • Thus, the angle between the true North and Magnetic North will differ expect the circle going via both.
