a) Hydrogen has only one atom and it requires one more atom to acquire noble gas status. thus is shares the electron with another atom of hydrogen.

b) Oxygen has six atoms in its outermost shell and it requires two more atoms to acquire noble gas status. Thus is shares two electrons with another atom of oxygen.

c) Nitrogen has five atoms in its outermost shell and it requires three more atoms to acquire noble gas status. Thus is shares three electrons with another atom of nitrogen.
