≈≈> Larger is the surface area more is the evaporation. Thus evaporation is faster in a saucer causing more cooling than in a cup. For this reason, we are able to sip hot tea or milk faster from a saucer than a cup .

≈≈> Gases, liquids and solids are all made up of atoms, molecules, and/or ions, but the behaviors of these particles differ in the three phases . Gas are well separated with no regular arrangement. liquid are close together with no regular arrangement. solid are tightly packed, usually in a regular pattern .

≈≈> Evaporation is the process of a liquid turning into gas due to absorption of heat. factors affecting evaporation are: Temperature Surface area of the liquid exposed to the atmosphere Wind speed and Humidity .
