4x²+4√3x +3 =0

on comparing this eq with standard form of quadratic equation ax²+bx+c=0

we get

a= 4 ,b= 4√3 and c= 3

D= b²-4ac = 4√3² - 4×4×3= 48 -48 =0

-b+-√D -4√3. -√3

x= -----------=------------= -------------

2a 8 2

(iii) 4x2 + 4√3x + 3 = 0

On comparing the given equation with ax2 + bx + c = 0, we get

a = 4, b = 4√3 and c = 3

By using quadratic formula, we get,

x= -b±√b²-4ac÷2a

⇒ x = -4√3±√48-48/8

⇒ x = -4√3±0/8

∴ x = -√3/2 or x = -√3/2
