8(2x - 5) - 6(3x + 7) = 0 \\ 16x - 40 - 18x - 42 = 0 \\  - 2x - 82 = 0 \\  - 2x = 82 \\ x =  \frac{82}{ - 2}  \\ x =  - 41

16x - 40 - 18x - 42 = 0

-2x - 82 = 0

-2x = 82

x = 82 ÷ -2

x = -41
