1. Magnesium hydroxide reduces stomach acid, and increases water in the intestines which may induce bowel movements. Magnesium hydroxide is used as a laxative to relieve occasional constipation. Magnesium hydroxide is also used as an antacid to relieve indigestion, sour stomach, and heartburn.

2. Calamine lotion is applied on bee stings.......Calamine lotion is applied on bee stings because bee stings contains acid which is relaesed on our body so to neutralise the effect of acid calamine lotion is applied.

3. Slaked lime is added to factory waste to neutralise the acidity of the acids present in it. If factory waste is discharged into water bodies without being treated can cause harm to fish and other aquatic animals.
