Q. \frac{-3b}{9}.\frac{4c^{2} }{7}

Sol. i) Cancel terms that are in both the numerator and denominator:

(\frac{-3b}{9}) (\frac{4c}{7})

(\frac{-b}{3})(\frac{4c}{7})

ii) Combine multiplied terms into a single fraction:

\frac{-b}{3}.\frac{4c^{2} }{7}

\frac{-b.4c^{2} }{3.7}

iii) Multiply the numbers:

\frac{-b}{3}.\frac{4c^{2} }{7}

\frac{-4bc^{2} }{3.7}

iv) Multiply the numbers:

\frac{-4bc^{2} }{21}
