5x+4y= 13

5x = 13-4y

x= 13-4y/5

4x+5y=13

5y= 13-4x

y = 13-4x/5

so X-Y

= 13-4y/5 - 13+4x/5

= 13-4y-13+4x/5

= -4y+4x/5

= -4(y-x)/5
