  • Area of triangle=1/2* base * height

  • given, ABC,angle

  • A=90° AB=5cm,AC=12cm,AD=?

  • We know that,
  • BC²= AB²+AC²

→ BC² =5² +12²

→ BC² =169cm²

→ BC = √169

→ BC = 13

Therefore,

  • ar(ABC)=1/2 x AC × AB

→ 1/2x5x12cm

→ (5x6)cm^=30cm

Since,

  • Area (ABC) = 1/2* BC * AD

→ 30 =13/2xAD

→ AD = 60/13 \sf

Hence,

  • option (b) is right
